US, Russia, UK, (The Vatican) the first two are Secular states.

Weedmeister, those are american soldiers. They don't represent one single religion. They are muslims, baptish, all religions. America believes in their constitutions and not in religions. What got them there was their reasoning abilities that Islam extermist is out to destroy them. They can reason based on facts while religions reasoning based on what? Religion books. Bible, Koran,and My new invented religion with "Book" which I will call God and it is the truth and you can live happily if you don't believe in it.

.. no surprises here. Take a look at who's leading them AL QAEDA. They, the Al Qaeda, is at war against everybody, so this practically is not new. The press is making an issue out of this. Damn you press people.

Pope doesnt need to apologize anything since that idea of his speech is from another scripture or another theologist, the things with Muslim clerics is they SUCK like Hell, they are arrogant people who only thinks of themselves and their religions., what a crap..

I guess you're right bai... Everyone on this thread knows where my allegiance lies, and that is Jesus and the Bible, no doubt that I would love to have all muslims convert to our faith, but its just that we christians must know that we are partly to blame for the muslims' hatred for us... We have persecuted and butchered them for centuries that its already so hard to imagine a place where christians and muslims coexist without bloodshed...

I cannot, for the life of me, imagine the pain and suffering that our "allies" are inflicting on the middle eastern countries today, and without a clear reason for inflicting it... I just feel that they too have a right to exist, as the more enlightened peoiple like yourself know that not all muslims are extremists, and not all muslims strap bombs on their kids, and not all muslims would kill a christian if given a chance...

The majority of muslims also have dreams like we do, love like we do, look into their kids eyes like we do, pray and worship their God like we do... let us not be quick to judge, as we are all brothers trying to make our way in this world...

"I understand that he has modified the remarks he made."

On Sunday, the leader of the world's 1.1 billion Roman Catholics said he was "deeply sorry" for the offense caused by his remarks made in Germany last week in which he quoted an obscure medieval text that criticized some teachings of the Prophet Mohammed as "evil and inhuman".

The hardline Iranian president struck a more conciliatory tone than that expressed by a government spokesman earlier Monday and the country's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

In Tehran, the Iranian government said the pope had not been sufficiently contrite and called on the 79-year-old pontiff to admit he had made a mistake.
