Congrats to the ten cebuanos who conquered pulag....

Bitaw, the peak was so great. I was there last May of 2010. Only two of us climb and we use the Akiki-Ambangeg trail.

Wow the place was so great. This protected landscape was so different from the other mountains here in our country (based onthe other peaks I have climbed so far). It always amazes you...it seems you are in a different country with a backdrop of pine trees, murag kanang makita ra nato sa national geographic. Moving forward to a higher elevation, mag lahi na sad ang vegetation, from pine trees going to close canopied mossy forest....and when you are almost at the peak, the vegatation will suddenly change into dwarf bamboos....climbing mt pulag is never a bore.

The two of us, (ika tulo ang native guide) climbed it for 3D/2N. But if you will only be using the ambangeg trail, you can do it actually in a just a day's climb.

Its always a great thing to climb in group, kay mas cheaper. Kami, we hired a 4WD Kia in Baguio City tapos kami ra duha ang sulod. We spent 9,000 for that alone: Baguio to Ranger station and Back n forth. Buts it is all worth it.

It was last year during national election and there was nobody in the trail except us. That was also the time when Pulag was recently opened to climbers kay that was el nino season, daghan forest fires.

I will share some of my pics soon.

BTW, along the trail kay naa sad mga tribal sites: lubnganan daghan mga bungo naka lineup....etc...basta lingaw ni kaayo very different with the other peaks in the country.
