reactionary fundamentalist! The Holy Father or the Holy See itself should not Apologize for anything on the given matter.

NO! They dont deserve an apology. Ask them if they apologized to the people they were killed during 911 and the rest terrorist attacks.

i hope it wont be like the caricature cartoons mess, like burning effigy and bombing of churches ...etcc, cause it will only substantiate that the radical militant view of that one of the oldest religion had overthrowned the moderate view and will now represent the majority of that faith.

being the pope he has a lot of weight in the words that he is saying. Even if the pope is right, he should have thought of the consequences that his speech will bring to the world. The conflict between Christians and the followers of Islam is already bad enough. The teachings of Islam might not be to pope's moral acceptance, but who is he to condem the acts of another people who are just following what has been written in their Holy book?

These are all because of a certain misunderstanding.... what the pope really intended for his speech was the idea: "NO FORCE IN MATTERS OF FAITH" thats why he quoted the words of the 14th century emperor about jihad which is perfectly an example to the statement. The MEDIA is also making this an ISSUE, yes the pope is a figure but what the media should do is explain it properly to the muslim world what the pope really meant in his speech. India's muslim sects are already burning effigy of the Pope.--nya masuko sila na gi drawing si muhammad.....

Pope Benedict XVI "sincerely regrets" offending Muslims with his reference to an obscure medieval text that characterizes some of the teachings of Islam's founder as "evil and inhuman," the Vatican said.

Muslim leaders say it is not enough. They still demand an apology.

I think naa na siya sa third secret of Fatima. That evil will penetrate the catholic faith and the Vatican. Mao na under heavy scrutiny karon ang catholics. Evil has indeed penetrated. And catholics should really defend their faith. However, sana all religious affiliations whatever religion a person has, will just respect everyone. There's only one God. It doesn't really matter kung unsa imong religion so long as you respect everyone else's beliefs and remember that the most important thing is that you personally grow in your faith.
