    The main reason why those fungi are able to do it on ant's is because the ant brain is relatively simpler than a mammalian brain. Thus, very minute amounts of the needed chemicals can be easily produced by the fungi, to "take over" an ant's rather minute brain.

    So, while possible, I think the odds of such a fungi taking over a mammalian brain is very very low.
