The reason why cebu pop fest is not going sky high it's because of the melody of the songs the contestants are making. Common ra kaayo ang mga tunes og melodies gipanghimo. Hibaw-an na ang dagan asa padung ang kanta. I'm not an expert but that's what i observed. There is no doubt cebuanos/cebuanas are very talented musician, the question here is how good or how nice or catchy the music they will produce, the song of each contestant produce.

They say it's easy to make or compose a song, but it's very difficult to make a hit song. Just my two cents here.

exactly! making a hit is very difficult. that's why revivals kasagaran karon. in case sa cebu pop, the same bulok na formula gigamit that's why the same bati na songs na produce. in short, mga 50 na lang ka mga tao na lingaw ani na event every year. ang composers, singers, organizers, judges,etc. na mag reunion kada tuig. pero ang public wala na gani kahibalo na ni exist pa ang cebu pop event.

Ya sakto jud revival kasagaran. wla gani jud ni lusot nga nahimong number 1 hit.. I heard gi monopolize na daw na nila. sila2x ra, mao ang makadaog sila2x ra pud. Mao na ako nadunggan sa una..

same style of music ang ilang mga contestant. mao na akong na observe. I'm not a good musician, music lover lang pero mabantayan jud nimo nga bati ang mga nahimo nga melody. Balik2x ang style. Ang mga manukaray walay problema mga maayo kaayo manukar, it's just the song itself. Can you give me a number 1 hit song from cebu pop nga nagdugay sa airwaves? Wala ko kahinumdom nga naa. Basin naa nya wla lang ko kadungog. hehehe!
