I think ang problema is not really lack of police visibility kundi lack of police. Cebu City itself is huge with thousands of people. The ratio would probably be one is to hundreds. Dili jud na ma-atol og bantay nila maski og 24 hours pa na silang magpatrol mao na kita magbantay-bantay lang sad ta. If naa ta nakit-an na morag dili na mao or kita ba nabiktima, ireport nato. We don't know na dako diay kaau matabang atong ireport.

And besides let's not put all the rotten eggs in one basket. A lot of police are dedicated in their jobs. Just because you don't see them it doesn't mean they're not doing their jobs properly. Let's put ourselves in their shoes. Being a police person is no joke. We can gripe all day about how unsafe Cebu is, but we are not the ones who have a greater chance of being harmed.

There were two guys trying to "pick pocket" a young student from usp and I think they got his phone. The "criminals" were really well- built and the other one kept showing me his knife(who was sitting beside my wife). We felt helpless. There were no cops along the road. You can never be too sure when these people will strike. In Brgy Basak, Lapu Lapu City, during the first few months of our Brgy Captain's term, it was chaotic but since Feb 2011 I have not heard any reports of snatching, robbery or of any sort coz a lot of "tanods" are all over the place. Hope that cops are really visible coz I still don't see them in prone areas most of the time. Let's be vigilant na lang.

haha...it's not an excuse... 2or 3 policeofficers, dili sila ka deploy anah sa mga lugar nga kuyaw? dili ko mutuo sa 12 ka police stations sa Cebu CITY including the MOBILE PATROL GROUP kay dili gyud sila ka assign og tig bantay sa lugar nig gabii? wala sila gisweldohan haron magpuyo lang sa station og maghuwat lang kung naay mo report og mga pa blotter....

Wrong ANALOGY ka bai .

Like I said , with or without the POLICE , if a CRIME is about to HAPPEN , you can still AVOID it by being VIGILANT and arm yourself with COMMONSENSE unlike ANTIGRAVITY na mag dala jud siya ug armas ang nahan niya kay pusilon niya murag maka igo ra ba or naay kurso mo kablit . Daghan ang snatchers because you are inviting them . Mo adto ka ug colon with your wallet with you ? bag with you if your a female ? Tanan alahas nimo na mura ka ug hepa or balikbayan ba ron from Saudi ? No and that is being being VIGILANT .

Asa ang police sa CEBU CITY ? trivia ni nimo ha , last time I checked , there is a policeman in every 700 Cebuanos , hows that ? But that doesnt stop the fact na naa sila , wala lang ka kakita nila .

Mind you , we are not only dealing these problems since mga petty lang ni sila and the word crime is so broad na sinsiyo ra ni although it also needs to be addressed . Timan-i ang Cebu naa pod MURDER , RAPE , EXTORTION , WHITE SLAVERY , HOMICIDE , DRUGS to name a few na atimanun pod .

Then why don't you e-mail or talk to Rama about it, if you're really not confident about the city's police force? The people here in Istorya can only side or go against your opinion. That's it. If you want to see some changes, then take action.
