Journalists killed after the Marcos Regime were mostly not for Political Reasons.
Attack-Collect --- Defend-Collect type of journalists/blocktimers were mostly the targets of private groups, private individuals or some corporations. Mostly those were Purely MUrders and not related to any Political agenda or conflict but rather for personal gains.

That is NO HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS

i agree that there were human rights violations during the cory admin.

but that does not mean that human rights violations during the marcos period is acceptable. 2 wrongs does not make right.

The info you are providing this forum is kinda twisted. It is trying to imply that human rights abuses is measured by the number of journalists killed in a particular regime. It's like saying the 10,000 or more human rights victims during the martial law is just a dream or is not true.. These claimants are just hallucinating..

And who says we forgot the mendiola massacre?? In fairness that incident pales in comparison to what happened during martial law.. Were you born yesterday?? Or in constant denial just like your idol Meldy? To compare mendiola massacre with the martial law regime is plain twisted..

I respect Prof Cecil Arillo and his side of the story. I'm not a "yellow fever" victim, and we shouldn't be a fan or shall i say slaves to a particular president or administration.. While i didn't support GMA and abhor its admin's corrupt practices, i had nothing to say but praises and thanks to her economic reforms and infrastructure projects especially here in central luzon.. We should not use Prof Arillo's work to discredit Cory and say FM regime was better.. That's plain twisted!

I think many people over looked the fact that CPP NPA have kangaroo courts. Most people assume that its the government fault when it can be or most likely that these people were victims of CPP-NPA kangaroo courts.

Imelda maybe forgot everything done during the regime of her husband .. or the what you called, conjugal dictatorship! It is just mind boggling how alleged "Human Rights violation" of 6 years of Cory, supersede the 20 years of terror reign of the Conjugal Dictatorship? But she has the right to her opinions or missed calculations ... However, the Filipino people has the right to say the Truth! Too bad, we, Filipinos, do have short memories ... i will not be surprised if in the next elections, Bongbong will win the presidency (and they are already preparing for that) ... that would be "coup de grace" for the Philippine society!
