based on my experience doing business (not sari-sari store though), it takes a lot of effort even for a small business. if you will hire a tindera, you have to consider her salary and who will handle the business if the tindera is absent/sick. you have to consider the rent and electricity bills unless the store is part of the house. if you will sell food, take note of the shelf life (expiration date) of the merchandise. there are also times na due to rain or heat, some items may not be sellable anymore if it gets wet or heated. a lot of people also forget to consider supply for coins. we have shortage in coins so be ready because that is one of my headache especially if the price of the items you will be selling is not rounded off to 10s. if you will hire tindera, you have to take note that she may steal the some cash or items.

aside from just looking at the profit side, make a feasibility study and simulate the actual operation. list down the problems and find a solution because these will definitely happen so you have to be ready.
