removing the Palm Rest Assembly:

Remove the five screws securing the palm rest assembly to the bottom of the system.


Turn the system right side up and remove the two screws securing the palm rest assembly to the system.


Disconnect the cables from the palm rest assembly connected to the system.


Press down on the tabs to release from the latches on the system.


Gently pry up the top left and top right edges.


Lift the bottom left and bottom right sections of the palm rest assembly to release from the latches on the system.


Remove the palm rest assembly from the system.


Complete.

removing the LCD Assembly:

Establishing Image.


Disconnect the DMC card antenna.


Disconnect any antennas connected to installed wireless solutions.


Disconnect the IR emitter cable.


Disconnect the logo board cable.


Disconnect the LVDS cable. If your unit comes with an LDPS cable, disconnect the LDPS cable.


Remove the cables and antennas from the routing channel.

Remove the six screws securing the LCD assembly to the system.


Remove the LCD assembly from the system.


Complete.

removing the Optical Drive:

Establishing Image.


Undo the locking on the optical disc drive FPC.


Remove the two screws securing the optical disc drive to the system.


Remove the optical disc drive from the system.


Remove the three screws securing the optical drive bracket to the optical disc drive.


Remove the two screws securing the optical drive bracket to the optical disc drive.

Remove the optical drive bracket from the optical disc drive.


Remove the optical disc drive FPC from the disc drive.


Complete.
