Because of this basic factors, Philippines should be free from this influence, kung naa man gani mga rebolusyonaryo nga ganahana mawala ni, dili Komyunismo ang ipakuyanap, kung dili ang Nationalist Democratic Revolution mao na, para kita na ang makabuot sa atong ganahan without the influence of US of A and the other Imperialist state.

    Yeh.
It has always been my contention, my personal contention, that the Problem of our Motherland lies not in its manifestations, Economic and Political System, the seemingly trivial Culture is the core problem of our nation. What we dont have is an Identity we could call our own. What is a Filipino? Is he merely a defined as what the 1987 Constitution defines a Filipino Citizen so wattabout the FIlipinos Abroad are they not called FIlipinos? Is being a Filipino defined by Color? so are we saying that Chinese-Filipinos are not Filipino? Or the Lumads? or the Mestizos? So just how do we define being a Filipino? Do we go by Color? by Politics? is there a filipino race? Those questions, i believe is the greatest problem of Filipinos, we dont have an identity we could call our own that i why we are so insecure that we cling to Western Products and consider them sacred, we loathe the to see the success of our Neighbors.
THe most Complicated problems of State lies in the seemingly trivial question of Filipino Identity. because only in have a Filipino Identity would we be able to accept what we are, only then would we be able to progress. Well, thats a portion of my theory though. So COMMUNISM couldnt happen in our Country if we in the first place dont have an identity of our own.

Ah, because we don't have an identity yet..........so we can't reach communism? Is it true to the Philippines only or does it apply to N.Korea or China too? China I guess is one of the most ancient cultures in the world.........I wonder if they don't have an identity yet since they haven't reach that communism just yet.........Also, many thought that if the Philippines didn't separate itself from USA after WWII we could have been like Hawaii or HongKong british crown, so progressive, why progressive? I don't know.....I really wonder why their progressive, Hongkong has still these chinese kung fu culture despite the british governance and Hawaii has still its own aloha culture even with the americans........But mainland china when her borders were still close from foreign influence were not that progressive compared now when they allowed multinational companies to setup Microsoft China, IBM China, Ford China etc..........how could that be? libogzzz na nuon ko.........

Philippine Identity was only my contention, not Marx or any other. DOnt confuse yourself.

But for the sake of answering your question, Yes, CHina is a Cultural Giant. It has an Identity of its Own, even since the dawn of its being. Pero lets not get to that kay it gets really weird. Lets just stick to communism, what i posted was merely my own contention in support of what hala tindak jud pointed out on neocolonialism.

Ic, anyway........granting that your contention is correct.....then I think the Philippines is hopeless of becoming a communist state.......we even have this regionalism thing.......like, what would be our national language which will identify us as Filipinos? Tagalog, Bisaya(Cebuano, Hiligaynon, Waray)....classless society right? wherein one ethnic group will not impose its own native tounge to another ethnic group..........

the latter not really, because Cultural diversity is not a hindrance to Communism.
Its not also imposible because we are already building our Self-identity as a people.

@ BCASABEE... the reason ngano wala ta gipadayunan ug suporta sa Us of A kay kung molambo ta threat ta sa wealth nila, they control us thru politics and culture, Politics, in the sense that they can support invisibly any potential person who will run on the election for president para sure sila nga ila ning mauto-uto, such as AGuinaldo down to GMA. Kabantay mo if naay election? kasagaran nga molansaray adto dayon og Us of A before mag election? mao nay giingon nga palakasay bah, ang show.

Ngano naa may Hongkong ang British og naay Hawaii ang Us of A?

IMHO, and my theory sad![br]Posted on: September 13, 2006, 03:24:21 PM_________________________________________________@ bcasabee...

For me, I think there is nothing wrong with being influenced by other culture especially if it will help us advance as a people......even Marx communism is a kind of foreign influence......do you consider it bad?

Marx gives us ideas regarding STATE and OPPRESSION, ana man gud ni bai, d jud ta mag abot unless makabasa ka sa works ni Marx.

democracy still means a lot to me, even after all i've been through as a citizen of this country. i wouldn't want any form of communism to replace it. i don't want us to be like china, north korea or vietnam. i love democracy and the freedom means a lot to me. let's not waste what rizal and every other important historical figure fought for.

    my two cents.
