i think theres no big deal about being an employee, murag tanan man siguro ta moagi jud ta pagka employee, bisag kanang mga sikat nga businessman karon im sure niagi pud na sila ug pagka employee. Theres a lot of things that you will learn being an employee including business processes, dealing with people, meeting the tight deadline, problem solving and decision making. These various forms of discipline will teach you how to go over when the time comes that you will have a business yourself. It all depends na lang gyud sa taw kung kanus.a siya mo venture sa business world...
again, going back to my previous post, school is not only about book, books, books.
you say work is differnt from things taught in college. yes, it's very true. BUT, it's sad that you don't seem to realize the most important thing school has trained you, how to THINK.
I am an engineer with little exposure to programming. But I chose to work in IT. and I have tremendous success working in this field. I had little to no trouble adjusting. why? just to let you know i'm no honor student(lipay na kay ko maka 3.0 pag college). it's more because of what my degree has trained me to do. all the problem solving and understanding sa mga concepts has taught me to become an analytical person.
common sense? yeah unless you were born with an IQ of 180. But for normal people like me? we have to start from the bottom and build everything from scratch.
bisan unsaun pa nimo ug apprenticeship, kung wa kay skillset para ana na butanga, wa gihapon gamit.
and do you think those shareholders, CEOs of the world dont have any college degrees or MBA's or phd's?
Para nko noh, diskarte ra na sa kinabuhi kung gnahan ka ma datu, pero kung gnahan ka ma professional, then that's the time that you will need a diploma. Getting a degree does not mean that you will be successful either, but there are things that you will learn while you are studying that you can apply in real life, like perseverance.
sakto, SCHOOL MINDSTES PEOPLE FOR EMPLOYMENT no use jud. hehehe
Sakto!
That advise of forgetting college education kay magpareha ra ta manarbaho inig kahuman is flawed, that advise is only for people who don't want to become professionals. But then again naa man pud "professional swindler, professional car theif" ..haha.
Dapat ang title kay, "Forget college if you don't want to become a professional, start working now"
mag UNO nalang ta...hahahaha
