Really? Economic statistics during the Marcos era does not suggest the same thing. And the policy of the Marcos government was just problematic. Cronyism and unfair competition against foreign firms? With that kind of development would anyone expect the Philippines to be? Like SINGAPORE? The Philippines at that time was just as worse as communist Russia.

If Marcos would really turn the Philippines like Singapore back then then they should have not controlled private firms and make them government run crony business. Capitalism demands competition and what Marcos did was the exact opposite, he made it so hard for foreign firms to compete with local companies that's why they had to get out of the country to invest somewhere. With the kind of business climate Marcos gave the Philippines not to mention extreme corruption, it's just plain IMPOSSIBLE to go to the ranks of Singapore.

Brunei? It is way way different from the Philippines. Try comparing them, Marcos may have the same style as them but the country's situation is way different from the Philippines back then.

I talk to some Singaporean artist a few months ago, they said Singapore's blue print was taken from the Philippines during Marcos era O_O i can't believe they know these things.. they said we should have been in the place of Singapore right now and these is coming from a Singaporean not Marcos or from a Filipino..

I beg to disagree and it's not even an excuse.. It's almost the same as the recent argument that goes like this: GMA's weakness was FG... mao naka-daot sa iya record..

The main cause that led to EDSA 1 was widespread corruption and human rights abuses to the epic levels in our history.. And the main group responsible is FM himself, his business cronies, and the gov't militia..

Imelda's involvement during that time, she was the PR of our country, doing beautification projects, social, civic, art, and health institution projects. It was done in order to provide superficial and cosmetic uplifting of our country's image to the rest of the world, thereby hiding and masking the reality of what is happening in the grassroots of our society.. Well these projects might have genuinely benefited a few of our poor kababyans, yet it's just a front act..

I think ang mga ni agree dinhi wala nabuhi atong mga panahuna or bata pa kaayo.
try saying that to someone who lived during martial law and let's see if you can get most of them to agree with you.

of course Bongbong will favor his father kay wala man na siya katilaw sa abuse ug sila ang in power.
