    Ing-ani nalang:

Kung ganahan ka mu impress sa mga tawo nga nagtan-aw nimo nagtext-text nga naglakawlakaw sa Ayala or mag picture-picture o video-video sa mga friends para sila ma impress o masuya or to easilly brand you as a TOP CLASS WELL-OFF person then by all means buy the N93. Let's face it the main reason MOST people buy this phones is for the form factor and the social standing it portrays.

    Well said comikGeek.

Im using the P990 now dagget, as a normal phone and as a PDA and im having no problems at all. Have you tried using the P990 for yourself? I have two friends who bought it just today,we compared notes, most of issues are on the memory, you cant use to many aps at the same time, as of the moment this isnt important to me coz I dont use too many aps at the same time.

The other issues he mentioned on the review are, for me, his personal comments on the operational aspect like the 5 way jog dial of the P900 and P910 being coverted to 2 ways and replaced with wtih the m-pad. I actually find this more convenient than the jog dial, but he takes the issue towards SE as a design flaw, but that is his opinion and so are most of the aspects on hardware he mentioned on his reviews. P900 started with bugs as well but were solved with upgrades in just a few months.

check out the P990 an fiddle with it, you will find that all the basic functions are working very well.

And again N93 or P990i for me shouldnt be compared because these are two different devices targeted at two different markets, unless you are a gadgeteer looking for whats new lang, then you would get both.

i think if you watched Tokyo Drift............. then you know whats the killer feature of a phone....

i think the japanese are showing us what the phone can become.....

if you say managing schedules.... nokia has an organizer, scheduler..... there are also other softwares available.... its symbian based.....

you maybe over emphasizing the touch screen.......

as the author said simple is more and that is the trend of the future.....

as i said it was a well balanced review...... and other users also have their own say..... i read it....

if you have been used to certain phones you tend to overlook some of its flaws....

Lozl Sorry I just find this thread getting funny.

Well you have your reasons for wanting the N93.

I dont base my decisions on what I see on TV, I base them on first hand experience. Nokia does have all of that but, I dont like writing emails, taking down notes during meetings or making schedules using the keypad, I like writing them down because its quiker for me just like writing on a piece of paper. This is important FOR ME, for my usage, it may not be for a lot of people BUT it maybe be also for more people than you may think.

What future are you talking about? As a phone? as PDA? as an MP3 Player? All of these for me are a matter of personal choice, not everyone needs all of this in one device, its a matter of weighing which is more important to once everyday use.

BTW, SE came up with a new update for the P990 just last night, it solved a lot of issues mentioned during the review.

Also check out the registers review on the HTC TyTn where he gave it a score of 90. Then research on all the real world experiences on that device, and the WINDOWS 2005 Pocket OS bugs. Then tell me how he came up with that score. There is a serious debate about this also in estato.

Right not I can say this for the P990. I can do these things without any problems:
Surfing the Net through wifi or GPRS, Text with keypad, keyboard or touchscreen, MMS, Contact Management (SEnding messages by groups or individually) Call and recieve calls (Voice and Video), Taking awesome Pictures. Schedule management (Calendar, tasks, annivs, birthdays, client scheds etc..), Alarms, MP3 player, Bluetooth Headset (incoming, outgoing and voice dialing), Record Videos etc.., Reading and editing Exel, word and powerpoint and Reading PDF files. Its hard to edit documents on non touch screen phone (well again, that what I think, but not what you want)

    and Im happy and contented.

By next week I will be buying applications that I need and will be testing it again but out of the box, I can do almost everything I want.

A short description of a SMARTPHONE (P990, pocket PC, Nokia 9500 etc..)
A smartphone is a mobile phone that usually has many/most/or all of the functions of a PDA (Personal Digital Assistant).
More like a handheld computer built into a mobile phone, with many different applications available to carry out all sorts of tasks.
