lol Gwyn, the older i'm getting baya the more my views reflects as that of a Republican. However, i could be swayed back to being a Democrat depending on who is at office. Right now, we have Arnold Schwarzenegger in office but he is not a favorite among us government workers so for me, dili tanan nga issues sa Republicans in favor ko there are some that also clashes with my belief system and same thing when i was a Democrat there were questionable issues for me. There will be other ways to bridge the economic downturn it might be slow but steady. For every action there is a reaction and that is what we are seeing now - terrorism, 911, unemployment rate, everything taken into account not to mention the oil situation. But we are not 100% dependent on oil from foreign shores. We have our own reserves coming from the Gulf of Mexico and Alaska and we only take in about 20% of that coming from the mid-east. So all these is just temporary. I favored his handling of the Iraq war. We need to protect our own homeland. Terrorism was the root cause of of how it all got started. We dont want another 911 happening here. No President has ever been beset with so much problems other than Bush especially happening during his first term in office and I believe under the most trying of times, he handled it well.

@springy...mao lagi oi ni enter man ni si ma'm streetcar...di ra ba sad sayon lalison kay miga sad...ka tropa sa uban projects....so tuhik2 lang ta ani...

@ streetcar....the US receives 42.8% of its imported oil from OPEC nations and 23.5% from Persian Gulf countries...so you are right on the 20% thingy from the mid east...but totally approx 66% of the oil is imported. The oil reserves sa Gulf of Mexico ...heavily compromised by Katrina...so nag recover pa....but you are right there is hope....let us just keep our fingers crossed that the oil nations will not start trading in euros ....

by the way sis...super against kaayo ko sa iraq invasion....but that is another story na sad....

WOW! Gwyn, thanks for the heads up, i never thought that the US, under Bush, had so much debt....!?

    $8,536,159,162,933.78

    WOOOOHAAAAWWWWW!!!!! GRAVEHHHHHHH.....

And going up by $1,750,000,000 each day.... wow, that's just lovely...

I don't think that we should factor in 9/11 and all its collateral damage (iraq, afghanistan) into this, as that should be PERSONALLY PAID BY GEORGE W. BUSH.

With all these discussions, and pardon me if I haven't even came across other posts in this thread. This leads me to this question for the Republicans.

Are you in favor of the war on Iraq?

I wanna read you guys answer this. Coz wala pa man ko nagdecide asa ko democrat ba or republican coz di pa man ko ka vote. And although I listen to both sides, I am against the administration's abrupt decision to pre-empt Iraq.
