@aldrin89 sorry but I have to disagree. this movie was amaaaazing. yeah it was dragging in a bit of parts, especially if you're not into ballet but it's beautiful in a psychotic way hehe...

Oh, and Portman received a Golden Globe for her role in this film.

Ang Director of Photography (DP) cguro imo pasabot si Matthew Libatique ang Filipino. Siya man gid DP ni Darren Aronofsky ever since...

Kung di ka eclectic ug taste sa salida or di ka tig-tan-aw ug so-called art films di gid ka malingaw aning salidaa. But for me, fan ko ni Aronofsky since Requiem (Pi was just too pretentious and self-conscious) up to The Fountain and The Wrestler, pero kaning salidaa didn't do it for me. It feels like another pretentious flick. Which is a shame coz there are great performances especially Barbara Hershey's. It feels forced in its intention to present a layering of Swan Lake in a modern Swan Lake tale plus a twister doppelganger mystery. Nya cguro unknowingly referencing established films especially Polanski's Rosemary's Baby, Repulsion ug The Tenant ug Powell & Pressburger's The Red Shoes made it kinda weaker coz it didn't pull it off smartly.

Natalie Portman's performance was good, but was made great due to hype kay tan-aw nila physically demanding man and she was up for it but it wasn't really that great. And with a year of not-so-stunning women performances, mo-stand out gid siya. But for me the best performance sa akong natan-awan kay Tilda Swinton in the Italian movie I Am Love or Melissa Leo sa The Fighter, which is another shame coz gihimo siyang supporting.. haha.. or even Juliette Binoche in Certified Copy... I still need to see Another Year though for Leslie Manville's much talked about performance as well as Korean auteur Lee Changdong's "Poetry" for veteran Yoon Jeong-hee...

wala jud d i ka naka apreciate sa art sa movie part.....hehehhe....though naa man jud pipz nga naai preference jud sa movies...nai uban action ra jud...nai uban drama rai tan awon...ang uban love story...heheheh....ako bsan unsa......hehehe...sa black swan...ang pinaka nindot nga scences kai katong ng masturbate xa og katong ng G to G sila...huna2 ra d i niya...hahaha...btaw oki nga movie...triling...............

The movie was disturbing, and I meant that as a compliment. You'll see Nina's mind decay to such a point that she doesn't know what's real and what's not anymore. True, it might not be for everyone however this movie could run away with the Oscar this year.
