if you were on his side during the senate hearing with this fat monkey (jinggoy) lavishly displaying his arrogance through the way he interviewed the late former general and also this former junior officer who only had a mutiny as the biggest decoration of his military life (trillanes) disrespectfully uttered the words "the accused has no reputation to defend", i wonder how low it could pull your morale down? not to mention the hearing is publicized to millions of filipinos nationwide and there might even be foreign eyes watching as well. reyes was robbed of the opportunity to defend his dignity.

well, will all honesty, if I'm in that position, and I'm 101% sure that I didn't do anything wrong; the hell would I care on what the senators said, as long as my love ones believe me, that is all that matters to me, besides, if I'm really innocent, I will be in the fighting stance kay sigurado ko sa akong gi buhat, the last thing that will cross my mind is taking my life; it's an act of retreat, not taking the challenges that the senators threw to him. Now, kung naa jud xa nahibaw.an na irregularities, may he be involved or not, isn't it more honorable to tell the truth and save his country rather than taking his life and keeping the secrets in his grave and leave the filipino people hanging?
