    Hi All!

    Musta mo tanan dnhi?

I used to post here before the time nga active pa kaayo akong PA.. Thanks GOD kay wala na sya karon though naa man gani time nga murag mo action sya ug tunga, dili na makadayon kay dali na nako ma divert akong mind.. I learned from it. Nawala sya by the time nga ng buhat kog kalingawan nako which is ang pg build sa ako gaming PC..

Kng mo atake gani.. ayaw sukol kay mo samot ra.. instead, try to relax yourself, find a way or technique nga ma kalma jd nimo imo kaugalingon.. Avoid being alone, let yourself involve to a number of people.. and lastly, Pray lng permi.. Kana tanan, naa lng sa hun2x nimo, giduwaan ra ka.

the single most important factor to control panic episodes is to stop fearing the attacks themselves.

    MhakDreamy,

wanna share this to you bro..
    • Sit down somewhere comfortable, away from too many other people if possible
    • Stop, take a break and try to think about what it is that's making you panic
    • Think positive thoughts. Tell yourself that you're not going to die, that the attack is harmless and will soon pass.
    • Keep reminding yourself that you'll be fine
    • If you're hyperventilating practice your breathing techniques. If you haven't learnt any yet, breath very slowly and steadily by counting along with each of the breaths. Try to hold each breath for three counts
    • The old paper bag trick might be useful. Take a paper bag and hold it over your nose and mouth tightly with cupped hands. This helps you to inhale your own carbon dioxide and slows your breathing
    • Instead of trying to run away from the scene, tell yourself that you'll stay for one or two minutes. When that time's up try to promise to stay for another couple of minutes. If it proves to be too much, don't be afraid to leave the area
    • Pray to our Heavenly Father to protect you ...Trust Him,everything will be fine!

    how to help yourself...

Relaxation techniques make it more difficult to panic, because tension is part of an attack.
Control your diet. Alcohol and too much coffee may make you more prone to anxiety.
Learn to breathe properly. Breathing techniques can help to prevent hyperventilation.
Regular exercise reduces anxiety and helps to rid the body of the stress hormone adrenaline.
Distraction techniques can take your mind off the panic and any symptoms during an attack.

I used to post in this thread pud. Haven't had a panic attack in years (pwerabuyag) although there were times when I felt one creeping in. I ignore it and it goes away. Don't tell yourself "I'm ignoring it now, I'm ignoring it now" - that would be like telling someone to not think of a red balloon and that's the first thing the person will think of. Just relax, sit down, or go on with what you were doing. When it first happened to me, it didn't occur to me to go to the doctor. Maybe I should have. I dunno. Anyway, this is just one trick I discovered; maybe it'll work on you, but it doesn't mean you shouldn't go to the doctor.
