Hongkong gamay ra unya daghan kaayong tawo pero way traffic. Ang ilang sekreto, subway unya train, train daghanon ug maayo ang train. Unya octupus card payment. Presto! very orderly, way hassle, on time ang mass transport. Ang kadaghanan sa mga tawo nagtravel sa ilawon sa yuta morag mga hulmigas ug ang mga kadalanan mo dyutay ang mga private cars magdagan. resulta menos ang trapik.

first step to implementing subway, train, bus, road widening or any other mass transit system is to have a proper drainage system.

If naa nay drainage nga tarong....

    - asphalted roads wont deteriorate so easily as water wont accumulate and make potholes
    - properly designed gutters and storm drains allow garbage to accumulate yet still allow water to run through. It also allows easier access for maintenance and cleaning.
    - subways wont get flooded with proper design and maintenance of a drainage system
    - power lines, telephone lines, cable lines can be properly routed underground without risk of grounding. Doing this reduces problems with entanglements and disruption of power due to typhoons or tampering from humans. It will also serve to beautify the city and reduce risk of electric shocks, cable theft etc etc.

I agree with need proper Drainage , but Mass Transit is another area , the latter has different Challenges as well ... Think Culture , what was the problem we had coming out of World war 2 , think surplus ...

can you elaborate what you mean? akong hibaw-an kay mga surplus nga Jeep nga gi convert to the jeepney.

Cebu had a heavy rail system sauna with stations as far North as Danao and as far south as Argao with the central station being located in the area where the South Bus Terminal / LTO Compound is today.

Yup you are correct ... these surplus Jeeps were left in the Phils because it would cost more to bring it back to the States , so with Filipino ingenuity , it was converted for use as transit ... Little did we know fast forward to the future, one of the problems were facing in planning mass transit whether it be trains , buses is addressing the thousands of drivers that use Jeepney's , we just can't say okay lets face out jeepney's na... Rail systems may work with jeepney's ie Manila , but buses may not in Cebu with Taxi, Jeep, and Buses assigned area's around city ... our roads are just too small ... i'm even thinking rail may not too with the little real estate we have for a place to put the infrastructure for it (cebu).

    2 cents

Things that Cebu Government Should really Do.

    - Remove those Colorum vehicles.
    - Stop issuing Jeepney Franchise
    - Remove PUV/PUJ older than 1990
    - remove older PUV/PUJ. (di na presentable tan-awon)
    - Drivers with 2,000 Unpaid penalty, Drivers license should be confiscated.

    My humble suggestions.
