im sure many of you will say fuel gauges cant be used to compare fuel consumption. yes this may or may not be true but pondering on the route i have went to and the refill gas i spent already makes me smile, at least my 2.0 corona exsior isnt that bad at all. hehehe

based on your travel from guadalupe to the destinations covered and back to guadalupe it's around 36 to 40 kilometers. if you said you filled the car with gasoline worth 300 pesos roughly 5.5 liters. your average fuel consumption is 6.4 to 7.2 kilometers per liter. Smile your no different than the rest of us.

i calculated the distance i travelled using google maps. distance i have travelled is around 50 to 52 kilometers

at that distance, the car runs at 9 kms/liter or 9.45kms/liter. city driving! i considered also the traffic i underwent in the area going to metro mandaue. i got stuck there for a good 45 mins or 1 hour. i also got stuck in traffic within the talamban/banilad area for 30 minutes as well as in h. cortes street. and since i computed the consumption thru the fuel gauge, i might as well consider the car to run at 8 or 8.5 kms/liter

if thats the calculation 8.5 kms/liter isnt bad at all for a '96 car. still makes me smile than a 5 kms/liter car.

@pd79: try daw i-full tank imong car then diha ka mu kuenta. usahay man gud if you fill your car na ginagmay lang, its not really that accurate. at least kung full tank, maka guage ka sa imong consumption.
