i graduated CompSci and based sa ako observation/investigation, gahi pa ang CompSci kontra IT, samot na kung Comp. Eng'g .... kung e sum up ang kalisod in Computer Based study, lisod ang Comp Eng'g... kanang mga IT studs nga g lisoran sa IT, shift nalng daan.... before it's too late...

thanks.. pero not true...hahaha... do you know that I failed one of my major subject and almost failed on the other?

It just that, when I was in college I already figured-out the line of work that I want, I keep asking people who already graduated when I was in 2nd Year college on things that they find hard when applying for a job, and most common reason is "They Lack Experience" since Fresh Grad. That's the time I stayed most of the time in a Computer School Laboratory then help setup computers [My CV Experience] if there are events in school. I go to seminars offered by our school or training for free just to learn stuffs, I help friends for setting up their PC for free just to learn.

I learned the basic from there and that's the time I'm more into computer networking... the rest are history.

One thing in our line of work... you are still a student and a learner, you
need to keep up with the technology. read...read...read... and most of all - Enjoy yourself.

tan awa ;ang ang realidad..ang IT,comsci ug compEng..magkoyog rana sila sa usa ka dept sa usa ka companya....naay uban head nila ang comsci grad batos nila ang it ug compeng depende sa experience..ang ako pasabot na halos parehas rana sila lahi lag expertise ang ge concentrate sa studies

mao maka ingon tag bogo kay ang prospectus ra imong ge basihan

dli ka mag basi anah or sa usa lang ka side

Note that not all CompSci grads can take on the work of a Computer Engineer ... in the field of Firmware, Device Drivers, Microelectronics, Microcontrollers, etc. - these are areas where the Computer Engineer specializes and the CompSci grad wasn't trained in this discipline.

I've had the opportunity to hire ComSci and CompEng graduates for my company, We've had to send the Comp Sci grads to basic electronics and circuit theory classes once in a while to have them come up to speed with the Comp Eng grads. Btw, my previous company specializes in doing RnD work designing and developing integrated circuits.
