anyone here who knows how to be licensed lifeguard?
pls.....shed light on me......

You have to be very physically fit for this. As the training is supposed to prevent you and the victim from drowning. Good thing about this is that you don't have to be a fast swimmer. But then again, you do have to be a strong swimmer.

Try asking Red Cross for this type of certification. I think they are the regulatory body for this license in the Philippines.

Where? I know there was a training at Sacred Heart.

I'd like to know more of this. I want to work on a pool.

I think Red Cross has schedules for trainings and certification exams for this. Better ask the Red Cross first though.

yah..im a hard swimmer,i can swim 30 lapses sa abellana straight
i passed the entrance exam sa coast guard last year para opisyal nga posisyon pero wa ma daun kay wa backer but that doesn't hinder me from what i want bsan lowly ra ang lifeguard nga job...besides licensed man sad ko sa akoa prof...il try sa redcross

Endurance is essential but I think being able to swim for you and the victim is what's more important in being a lifeguard. You might have to drag someone whose many times more than your own weight. And there's also a chance that he/she will struggle with you. Techniques are very important. You'll need to know how to deal with different kinds of situation.
