Hello,

Could you please add store warranties or service centers FAQ?

1. info needed - grey unit vs cdsc unit (nikon) - does canon also have this? what's cdsc warranty?
2. service centers for nikon and canon? contact numbers and location.
Some instructions would really help especially for nikon - manila kunu if wala na warranty?
3. does the canon in cebu fixes also services dslr cameras? or do they send it in manila?
4. international warranties? items bought on amazon or foreign countries - how to get warranties?

found my answers

There are 2 kinds of warranty:

1.) Shop Warranty - usually service only. You bring your camera to the shop/store where you bought it for defects under the scope of warranty. Gadgets that are GREY UNITS have this kind of warranty since they are direct import from outside the Philippines.

2.) Canon Phils Warranty or CDSC (for Nikon) - may include parts and services or services only. These gadgets are from Canon Philippines and are of course, more expensive than the GREY UNITS.
** cannon will accept grey units for repair - they treat these as out of warranty items, and i think they charge extra for grey units (not sure how much).

Please be reminded that digital cameras only have 2 kinds of warranty:

But grey units or not, all my DSLR offers are 100% original and brandnew. This is just to inform everyone before buying your new gadget!.

It's always advised to ask the shop/store where you bought the camera of your gadget's warranty. If it's a Canon Phils warranty, you may check it with Canon Phils or some boxes have stickers in them indicating if they're with Local warranty or not.
