*sigh* fanboy gripes...

Initially, wa ko ganahi sa design ni Prime pero we should just let it go. This is a live action/CG adaptation after all, and if I were one of the filmmakers I would deviate a bit from the original designs. And let's face it...if they were to pattern the designs exactly like the G1 designs, bati tan-awon on screen. Awkward sad kau, and I think they were going for a more realistic approach on how the Transformers would look like and function like in the real world.

G1 designs looks even better than the designs Bay made. And what better method than with Cg/ live action. But let me point out. There is nothing wrong with change yeah, but if you think that all the changes they are making are solely to enhance story and to make the Transformers mythos a better thing then you are fooling yourself. The majority of the changes being made are to create new toylines, and Bay is not fighting it because he's getting a percentage of the revenue.

With Hasbro involved, a toyline was a GIVEN. Why they saw fit to totally ignore the excellent "Alternators" line in search of something more "realistic" is yet another leadership blunder at Hasbro. I'm amazed these dudes still have jobs

Change was indeed needed, but not a total desecration of the old property. Once again, I bring up the "Alternators" line as an example of updating the old characters into new forms and still retaining classic features. Maybe they should have hired Takara's design team? NOPE. Not American enough...

Nobody is looking for an exact translation of the original cartoon episodes but being more faithful to a franchise and its designs would not hurt this movie and actually could help.
