    Default SandyBridge 1155 Defect?

this happened before with the 1156. There were socket clamp issues with 1366 before as well. this usually occurs when the new architectures are just introduced. Question is, is this instance an anomaly or an actual fault in the design?

the board was used beyond specification. no big deal.

could be overvolting issue. The sandybridge OCs well beyond 4Ghz with some reporting 5Ghz on air though. Going beyond that certainly needs upping more VTT on it. Might not be advisable to do that until this issue is cleared as an anomaly or user error.
