I suggest you wait for the i3 or the lower end i5 version of Intel's Sandy Bridge since it's more efficient than the current i3's and i5's.. The pricing should be about the same..

The Core i3 2100 should be at the price point of the i3 550.. Since you're not into overclocking look for a MoBo with an H67 chipset.
