Default Bad Experience with Sun Cellular

My problem with SMART is far more complicated and very unsatisfactory. Smart's system is a junk.
They've been sending us billings with charges that belong to another account. So watch out for those conspicuous charges (Data / Call). We've been to their payment center for countless times and all they say is that they will correct it on the next billing. HOwever, they've disconnected us from the network and told us to settle the account first before they will clean up the mess on our billing. Now, you tell me what kind of Customer Service is that! But we ended up paying it anyway. Yet until now, the billings we receive carry those same errors. WHo in his right mind would like to settle the payments now?

Same errors and less action! Ineffective Service!

An employee of SMart , who is my husband's friend, even told us that their system is old and a lot of customers have been dealing with the same rubbish we've been through. Just dont get fooled with their
updated commercials coz their accounting system is not as updated.

They're just smart in letting you shell out more money!

well customer service aside...i think the most important factor in choosing a wireless carrier is the number of cell sites they have...i should say that SUN's network coverage really lags behind the two giant carriers (globe & Smart). As it figures, Suns number of cell sites for the end-2003 was only *641* nationwide while the competing carriers already have *3,000* cell sites on average..Even in Metro Manila lots of Sun subscribers were already complaining of its poor signal, how much more in the far-flung provinces in the country wherein they still haven't put-up a cell site..Although they boost their market through freebies(i.e free GPRS, free txt..) and lower call rates but then again wider network coverage really counts for a wireless carrier...t'is the reason why I still dont bite on Suns marketing gimmick.....

last month, arnd end of august, ni apply ko sa sun. i submitted all the requirements and they told me to wait 1-2 weeks para sa processing. last sunday, i went to d sm branch, follow up ko. they told me nga kuwang daw akong requirements. then d cashier who doubled as a customer serv rep told me nga kuwang daw kog billing, 3 billings daw ang needed. i pointed to her nga 2 ra ilang g require, i even showed her a copy of their requirements. wla nakatingog ang tanga. i berated her nga wla syay klaro, they should have told me nga naay kuwang or addtl requirements. gitingob unta nila kng unsa pa ilang mga g require, dli kay pa sigehon tag balik². wla unta nila paabta ug 1 month. cge gud kog follow up nya karon ra ko giingnan nga d reason nga wla pa na process is kuwangan daw requirements. makasapot kaau! mayna lang ky niduol tong unsa ka customer rep nya nag apologize, nya sya ang nitarong ug explain ky katong usa nagsiga lang mata! didnt even apologize sa iyang kapalpakan. ni apply kog sun gane ky lagot kos globe, pataka lag bill..i got bills for calls i dint make. haaaaaay.

sumtimes, i wish nga parehas lang sauna, b4 d advent of pagers, celfones, ky wlay daghanag labad.

i think mas mogawas man nga kalas and mas dakog gasto ang prepaid kung heavy user ka, esp. businessmen. nya sumtimes, kng magpa autoload ka, delayed kaau or naay times dli pa gane ma credit but na deduct-kan na ang autoload retailer. well, sh*t happens.

both Robinson and SM branch customer care people lack training. they don't know much of their productS and cannot answer back in good ENGLISH. most of them like promo girls in the grocery department.

until now my subscription is still not approved. I'm currently hooked with iGEN. You see, with that company they have an affiliation with SUN (I think).. so once you are a member you do not have to go through all the hassle of passing all the requirements.. but sadly, wala pa daw sila n.inform about it. grrr... okay sige so basin fault na sa iGEN... so okay ra, nag.tiyaga na pod ko ug asekaso for the so-called requirements... yati ning SUN, dili nila dawaton akong proof of billing sa Pacific Internet... grrr... HOW COME? part man na sa categories sa proof of billing ang internet bill. makasapot oi! kay dili daw kuno pwd ang internet bill. eh d sana, la na lang unta g.lista ang internet bill sa requirements if dili man d i... m.asa na lang ang tawo...

It has almost been a year since my last post here.. and here I am, ready for my next complaint!

We have all heard about the 24/7 Call & Text Unlimited program with Sun Cellular right? And it has progressed to fewer more programs after my above post date. And yes, because of it so enticing, I took advantage.

Before I go to my main complaint, let me update you on what happened to my above post. NO, I didn't push through with my plan on subscribing w/ Sun Cellular PostPaids. Mainly because:

My family had been (up til now) a Sun Cellular consumer. This way, makatipid jud mi... especialliy that may folks are in Ozamiz City. Pero... instead of makatipid... gipangitaan gihapon ug way aning Sun Cellular na makakwarta. There was one time... I think last year (basta dugay na kaau to.. kadto pa jud first gawas sa 24/7 as promo w/c later they said will now be permanent service from them)... my sister cannot text anymore. Everytime she sends her message, ang prompt is "Message Not Send This Time" or was it the other (I can't remember na sa k.dugay...) basta, I'm talking about the error prompt when you don't have any credits anymore. And so, my sister (a student) freaked out. Iya dayon ko gitawag. Asked for help on how to fix it. Because she still has 2 weeks to go ayha m.ubos iya Unlimited Prepaid Load. So, I called their hotline... Dugay pa jud kaayo ang hold time, w/c I understand, because they are fairly new in this business. Anyway, after an hour hold, init na kaayo ang cellphone battery... so medyo nawad.an na ko ug patience. When the representative asked about the problem... I immediately asked him/her to check the status of this number kay dili lagi jud k.txt. Even asked if there was any problem with their connection that day. But to my surprise... ila lang ko g.tubag na "ABUSIVE TXT" kuno akong manghod that's why dili siya k.txt!

as in.. WHAT

ako jud dayon g.defend akong sister. Told them that my sister used their 24/7 Unlimted Call & Text Unlimited so it's impossible for her to be tagged as "ABUSIVE". Dugay kaayo ang representative naka.tubag. He/She has to put me on hold and came back with a confirmation na "ABUSIVE TXT" lagi daw akong sister. Iya pa jud samotan akong kalagot w/ a so-called "remedy" for it. Which is to re-load w/ the same... para m.reset ang status.

LALIMAN KA?

That's totally unfair.. when in fact naa pa'y 2 weeks running akong sister to consume her whole credits.

And to be fair, ato i.define ang UNLIMITED ha?

Main Entry: un·lim·it·ed
Pronunciation: -'li-m&-t&d
Function: adjective
1 : lacking any controls : UNRESTRICTED
2 : BOUNDLESS, INFINITE
3 : not bounded by exceptions

And so.. I asked for his/her supervisor. They placed me on hold for another 30 minutes until naputol ang linya for some reason. Since medyo gamay na lang ang battery charge left sa akong sister. I called again... same hold time.. another representative answered... but this time I asked for the supervisor. Pero intawn, ang supervisor, nag.sige lang ug apologize. And sige lang balik² sa ilang spiel that there's nothing they can do. I became very insistent, and siguro mao na ang reason why they hung up on me.

IMAGINE THAT??

Rule # 1 in callcenters, NEVER hung up on callers!

Rule # 1 on phone etiquette.. Let the caller hang up first. This shows the caller that you weren't in a hurry to get off the phone with them.

and the list goes on...

grrr... kasapot jud nako... and from then on... everytime m.dial ko sa ilang hotline... busy tone na akong makuha...

so.. gipalabay lang to kay bag.o pa lagi ang SUN..

after a few months, na daghan na jud kaayo sila services, including the Daylite program that they have... ako na sad usa k.manghod (brother) ang n.reklamo ... na d na sad siya k.txt... but this time, at least 3 days na lang ang nahabilin para m.ubos ang credit. Kadtong akong sister ang nagtawag sa sun who again said the same exact spiel I received from them almost a year ago.

Dili lang intawn akong mga manghod ang nakasulay ani.. akong boyfriend, my close friends and siguro ang tanan subscribers of SUN! I have reviewed the terms & conditions found in my prepaid kit.. There's no such warn jud! And even if these are subject to changes... they should always let the public know. Syaro, sa kanindot nila ug mga ads on TV, dili jud na nila m.singit! And ngano sa mga bag.o na prepaid kits sad, wala man gihapon na nila g.update? Same ra man gihapon na Terms & Conditions imo m.read. Or even man lang sa Prepaid Card that can be bought anywhere. Bisan gamay lang na n.print, that would really help consumers be aware. Kaysa m.taken aback lang ka kay mao na ni nahitabo.
