i find sony overpriced most of the time for its specs... i vote for toshiba and go for the either portege or tecra series... those are the tuff ones...
i am an acer travelmate user though
but my bro uses tecra a8 and my sis uses portege m600
personally, if i have that kind of money, i'd go for portege r700

but i read some reviews that portege are good for business class and not for multimedia development.
