Francis, just a question...why do we need to tape the ears of the rott? Just curious.

taping ears does not apply to all rotts. it only applies to those rotts with small, medium small ears sir snake eyes coz the said ears tend to fly away or resemble those bat shaped ears which is undesirable in our breed standard. breed standard states that:

"Ears: Medium-sized, pendant, triangular, wide apart, set on high. With the ears laid forward close to the head the skull appears to be broadened"

oh I see...I guess my Paprika has normal ears...I thought that I need to tape her ears, too....

not yet visible pa man ang improvements kuya. on and off raba ang ia pag tape, is that ok? kai alibadbaran man siya usahay gud. mag sigeg lingi2 hahahaha. and oh, i'm fostering a puppy.. a newborn!!! owners said they're gonna throw her away if no one else takes her in. T_T bad bad bad!

guys, what do you use for toothpaste for your dog's teeth? I noticed that our baby girl needs her teeth to be clean na...naa na mga cavities sa iyang mga teeth...

I just noticed something with my rott and I do hope you can help me....

There are times she would, like, bike my hand everytime I tap her on the side especially when she's looking at a cat (in alert mode). I guess my tapping it to hard for her and she feels that I'm spanking her in someway...is it natural? if not, how can I stop her from doing so? I know it's not good especially when she grows up...she might be aggressive.

Right now, she has a very good temperament...the kids in our neighborhood can just approach her and touch her. Parents are scared considering she's a big pup. She likes kids and I want her to stay that way. Maybe later on she might bite them. I'm scared. Hope you can help me out....

as i see it, he perceives your hand tap as a distraction to her attention to the cat, just like a fly landing on her side and your paprika biting the fly. on what you can do, make the hand tap to the side consistent and if she tries to bite or snap at your hand, give a firm no. hope that helps. socialization with kids is really great for your rottie, just supervise

thanks, Francis21...appreciate it alot...will try to do that everytime she tries to snap my hand. And by the way, how do you brush the teeth of your dogs? Do you, like, brush it literally? I do have a toothbrush though...but what toothpaste do you use?

as for brushing dogs teeth, im not quite familiar with it as i have not literally brushed my dogs teeth. i just give them denta bone from time to time. im dry feeding my dogs so i guess no need for toothbrush

oh ok chai, so you are very busy then. just leave the tape for 3-5 days para di kau time consuming on your part. pepper would look more better if the ears improved a lot
