nindot kaayo ang IAU in terms of facilities and infrastructures bro. ok ra pud ilang instruction. but it all comes at a price pd kay private university man ni. what course do you plan to take up?

mahal2x jud diay dah naa bay scholarship ani? hehe

naa'y scholarship sa philippine state college of aeronautics. one way to gain it is by being a working student sa school. i once got my tuition slashed into half during my college days there because i was once in the school publication. that made me eligible for a 50% discount on my tuition during my term.

ok ra kaayo ang indiana if kaya ra sad sa inyong budget ang tuition. go for it. di ka magmahay sa aviation bro.

wa ka problema sa lodging ky naa man dormitory ang IAU located inside the campus mismo. i stayed there during my college days in that school.

naa na man ang prospectus dd2 sa website sa IAU.

AMT guys can't fly planes unless they receive formal ground and flight training.

veteran pilots and aviation professionals wouldn't really encourage you to take the academic course BSAT. they would advice you to take a different course while taking flying lessons instead. the reason? so that in case you can't pursue a career as a pilot once you finish your flying training, you still have another career as a back up.

you mentioned you're an BSIT grad right? so you have a back up career in hand already. if you wanna become a pilot, you don't have to study a BSAT course just to be one. enroll nalang og ground and flight training sa mga flight schools in the general aviation area sa airport. but if you like to be an aircraft mechanic, AMT is the course to go.

however, if you wanna become an aircraft engineer and take the responsibility of designing and building aircraft, BS aeronautical engineering would give you that. if you like electronics, then BS avionics (aviation electronics) technology would suit best for you.

Pila na ron ang per hour sa Flying School? Before ang ako nahibaw an sa CATS kay 3,000php per hour.

3K/hr sa CATS? murag panahon pa to nako da. last flight training nako sa philippine pilot training school (bahinting's) with their 150,152 and PA28-140 kay 5K/hr before ko ni undang in 2004. grrrr... 15 more hours to go para qualify to take CPL.

cptn_star's advice to dAmn_u is a must. like for me example, graduate ko BSAT (just to get BS degree) and flying.... ni-undang ko sa flying pero wala ko ni pursue sa mechanic... ang trabaho nako karon intawn kay janitor. hehehe... bitaw, maayo jud lain nga course... say IT on dAmn_u kay tabang sad na. and other courses just in case.

Murag imoha pa jud to panahon brad, dugay nato... highschool pako ato nga tag 3k/hr... hehehe!

Ako pod advice, daghan mga aircraft maintenance personnel nga Mechanical Engineer or Electrical Engineer. Gamay raman naka differ if mag ME ka or Aero Engg.

Mas safety if mag ME ka, at least if dili madawat as aircraft engineer or technician, pwede paman ka maka work sa mga planta, or even sa barko.
