see? nagduda lang ka nga pulis to sila yet you are not very certain nga pulis gyud to sila. ngano diay ug mag-door to door does it mean nga pulis to? in fairness sad tawn sa mga tarong nga pulis ba so kindly be careful with the words you say as it might be taken against you. ug sa korte pa pilde na ka by way of technical and inconsistency. why diay? are you sure nga ang mga swindler dili sad mag-ana? did you know unsay mga modus ana nila?
I hear that, akong amigo taga Mandaue siya, naa jud pulis nangayo pinaskuhan thru his father.
nagkalisud man gani ni siya noh pulis pa, samot na kaha kung adik2x noh?
I regret that you and some other posters in here assumed that I meant ALL police in Mandaue were involved in this, but if you read the first post it is very clear that I said ONLY 5 police were involved.
Next, while it is indeed possible these were swindlers, when persons come into your work or home wearing police uniforms and flashing a police badge, as citizens we are entitled to take the uniform and badge at their face value and assume that we are dealing with police officers. Or are you saying that if a police officer comes to your house with an arrest warrant or summons you will refuse to cooperate or follow because there's a chance he is a swindler, well that would lead to a charge of resisting arrest so good luck with that!
The bottomline is that we must presume that those 5 were indeed police officers until and unless proven to the contrary as it is the only reasonable presumption that can be made. What you're suggesting is just dangerous because it requires citizens to ignore identifications of authority just on the slightest doubts. Besides which, if the police have an image problem it is a problem of their own making because of the many abusive/stupid policemen that our country has. Have you read the Inquirer today? There's an entire section in there dealing with abusive policemen. Then of course, there's the crazy Mendoza and his equally crazy, arrogant brother who caused the deaths of innocents...
