    bro, salig jud ka anang peso-cost averaging? like krn, niubos ang JFC, so palit lang gihapon ta ug share although losing? convinced man ko atong gisulti ni colayco sa iyang book but i can't outrightly rule out pud sa contention sa mga against ani na method.

    If investment ka, wala jud kay choice but cost averaging. Like JFC, for a blue chip company at around P88, dako2 pa gyud na ug growth potential. Tan-awa ang SMC, MER, ug ang GLO. But para nako, when it comes to cost averaging, dapat sakto ka sa timing. You want to buy at the lowest point para mamaximize gyud nimo.

    About JFC, tan-aw nako moubos gyud na or mapilit ra na sa diha nga range for now.

    If mo invest jd mo, ayaw mo invest if ang index is toppish na.
    Much better if mo invest mo if ubos ang index just like last November which ang index ni go as low as 3890 ba to.
    Much better unta if ni invest mo pag recession although affected sad atong funds ato nga time.
    Karon mo mang invest unya ang index is medyo toppish, much better mag trade lang usa then if low na ang index, diha namo palit ug stocks na good for long term investment.

    Im planning to buy a stock for long term sad pero now is not yet the time.
    Im observing our index this coming March - May, murag dha na time ni mo kalit ug bear si PSE.

    @medwarc:

    Sa mutual funds ingon ana pud ko bro, almost every month mag dugang ko. But sa stocks murag di mahimo.hehe.

    @xyberblue:

    Bro, to what extent ba makaaffect ang performance sa company to the value of the stocks? Mao man gud akong basis sa pagpili para panghold.

    Dako kaayo epekto bro. Take for example sa PLDT (TEL).
    Last quarter negative ila net earnings which means bati ila performance last year 3rd quarter.
    Price sa stock at that time was around 2600+.
    After sa ila pagpost sa 3rd quarter earnings na negative, hagba dritso ang price to 2400 level.
    Mao sad to na time na ang PSEi from 4400 ninaug as low as 3890 kay index mover mani si TEL.
