Nikon D90 for first timers

IMO, the TS is still leaning on getting a digital SLR as evidenced by the D90 vs 550D thread that he created.

i have a D90 & a P& S as well..my suggestion. if tan-aw nimo di jud nimo hilig ang photography, & para pang adlaw2 lang nimo nga use..buy a nice P & S. daghan naman nag suggest unsa mga model. Dont waste your money & time on investing on a DSLR (unless you really love taking pictures & have time editing later, hehehe).

Btaw, buy a good P & S..i would prefer sa Canon (sorry sa ubang brand, most especially my beloved Nikon)...

post processing your pictures after is preferred, not mandatory
some photogs here enjoy their shots straight out from the camera.

Boss, i agree it is preferred & not mandatory. usually pag DSLR gud, labi na sa mga masters nato diri naa jud nay PP involved (esp. if you shoot in raw). di man sad ko expert ani but IMHO with P & S, "almost" everything is automatic so Point & Shoot then ayos na padevelop dayon sa Kodak..hehehe (of course you can still be more creative with post processing later if gusto ka).

DSLR: basin masayang ra ang budget if di nimo magamit (esp D90 imo paliton).
P&S: nice na kaayo ni bisan imo mama or papa pwede ra kaayo mo magamit ani, di ra kaayo maglisod. & you can still be creative with PP if gusto ka.hehehe
