Statistics would not tell us the truth about cheating. It can be doctored anyway but just look around. You ride a taxi, you will be cheated if you are not vigilant. You file for a license or permit in any government agencies you need to have an ENVELOP to make it move.

Almost everybody cheats in the Philippines because all we care is money and power. Look at the nursing profession. Review centers in an effort to boost their enrolment resort to cheating to the detriment of the integrity of the nursing profession.

We may not be generally a nation of cheaters but right now under this administration cheating has become a way of life for most Filipinos. Ninoy Aquino was probably wrong when he said. The Filipino is worth dying for. No, cheaters are not worth dying for. They deserve to be prosecuted and condemned.

the integrity of statistics depends on the integrity of its source. you should know that yourself being the top-poster of information dominantly coming from one source.

the leakage in the latest board exam do not even cover more than half of the examinees! get your logic right.

How do you know that it doesnt cover more than half of the examiness? And how do you know that majority of those who passed the Board Exam did not benefit from the leakage.

What Iam only saying is this, statistics is not a reliable indicia whether we have become a nation of cheaters. You can get conclusion by getting the pervading perception of the people in general. How they act and how they view these things. Only then you can conclude what is the prevailing mentality of the people.

haven't you been using unverified statistics to prove your claims in this forum since day one?

you are contradicting yourself. how do you know that more than half of the examinees have cheated? i hope you don't got back to statistics to prove that.

the bottom line is that your generalisation is very baseless. i suggest you start discussing something concrete.

My statistics is based on respectable survey entities like Pulse Asia and SWS. Sometimes I used statistics of PCIJ which came from academicians in certain fields. I did not concoct my numbers.

For me, observing and determining the geberal perception of the people can be considered concrete in itself.

so it's alright for you to use statistics from 'respectable entities' to prove your claims. nice. i thought you said "it can be doctored".

you are just plain biased. anything that can be blamed onto the existing administration, you would find any avenue for it to be so.

"Can be doctored" does not mean that it is doctored all the time. It depends upon the source of the statistics. If it comes from credible sources like the one I mentioned, I doubt if it is doctored. But if it comes from the government, the probability of doctoring is high.

there goes your inconsistency. you use unreliable information as you please. it seems that it's alright when you yourself use statistics cuz you do not doubt the integrity of your sources. but when others use statistics, you would say it's unreliable.

    nice.

Thats how it goes. The government is to be blame their lack of credibility in their figures. Remember how the NSo revised the criteria who is considered unemployed and who are not or the statistics about classroom shortage or about the lack of funds in the OWWA.

The problem with the government is that its bad reputation about numbers preceded it.

if that is the way you argue, it is not worth the waste of time.
