the Pope didn't say that child porn was normal ... but rather he said that people are increasingly believing that child porn is normal ... there's a big difference in those 2 statements ...
i cannot believe the Pope would say such a thing ... i know the Pope is pained by all forms of abuse committed against the innocent ...![]()
as i predicted on another thread.. its just a matter of time before people start calling this pope the anti-christ
the big mistake this pope is his failure to take concrete measures against the paedophile clergymen..
it would have been to the best interest of the church with its image of integrity if it punished the erring priests..
Ok..he didn't say that child porno is normal but he claimed that it was increasingly considered normal by society...In his traditional Christmas address yesterday to cardinals and officials working in Rome, Pope Benedict XVI also claimed that child pornography was increasingly considered “normal” by society.
I'm part of that society but I don't think I consider child porno normal... Do you![]()
Hahay, this is just another anti-Pope, anti-church misstatement.
All of you guys I believe are intelligent here, aren't you?
So try to read the article again and try to understand what the Pope was trying to say. Here's the link kay mas klaro ni, Pope’s child porn 'normal' claim sparks outrage among victims - World news, News - Belfasttelegraph.co.uk
It seems like the writer of that report was trying to isolate a statement to make some out-of-this-world issue.
Reading the title of the article makes you think that the Pope was approving child pornography.. My gosh, kalayo ra intawon.. Ka bulay-og jud sa editor sa news.
.:.
When the Pope said that "child pornography was increasingly considered “normal” by society" he wasn't making a stamp of approval on child pornography.
The Pope was actually voicing out and speaking out against the times because what we all know as evil is now being considered normal.
For example, cheating is evil. But a number of people especially students are now considering it as normal, a normal part of student life.
The pope's message actually dwells on relativism. The controversial concept that there is no such thing as good or evil, that everything is just relative.
This is dangerous because people will tend to view as evil only the things that make them uncomfortable. There are things that are "evil" or "bad" per se but because people enjoy doing it, because they are not uncomfortable doing it, and that they have been doing it all throughout their life, then it becomes good.
...
If I say, that criminality is so rampant nowadays, and somehow people just leave it as it is.
Do I make a criminal myself?
Purely it's just a statement, the Pope is just portraying what is reality nowadays.
and he even invoke justice for it.
basaha pod ninyo ang article dili lang ang title sa thread before mo mag post... tsk tsk tsk
