Ei guys i just wna share something based on personal experiance, research and advice from a doctor friend. When we see soap commercials, they give us the impression that it's our first line of defense against germs and infection, which for me, is true. safeguard even advertises that it helps fight pimples. I agree to these ideas ( to a certain extent), but, i have come to the conclusion that there are also bad effects from using soap that i think many people do not realize. when i was in college, i used to suffer from pimple outbreaks. i tried everything,, from safeguard, to facial cleansers.. even Perla! hehe. but nothing worked, it just kept getting worse and worse. then one day my doctor friend told me to stop using soap everyday. instead, use soap in alternating days. the improvement on my condition was dramatic. in a few weeks time, my outbreaks nearly stopped. curious about the explanation, i research in d net, and found out that soap can actually make acne worse because it kills off the good bacteria in your skin that are the ones that fight off the bad bacteria that causes pimples. i have shared this advice to some of my acne challenged friends and amazingly, they've improved also. although what i'm sharing now may be subjective, i'm sharing it anyway, it may help some of you.. peace :mrgreen:

Thanks for sharing caloyski. anyway, you can wash your face once a day, preferably night time... but use a gentle cleanser... avoid harsh soaps. In the morning, just plain water.
