Unfriendly windows update

I have orig win7 and xp which are all updated every now and then, but after this new updates of dec. strange occured my xp applications windows or 3rd party started slowing down, while the win7 was totally changed my settings that i could not access some package softwares from sony and others too. what i did i restored back and it turn ok. But I`m still wondering why? is it maybe bec for security reasons i dont think so or maybe a virus, malicious software found? If you encounter w/ their updates or any ideas why pls do share! thks. merry Christmas!

i haven't experience your prob bro. i'm also updating my win7 as soon as updates arrive in my pc. i think you're an isolated case.
