I was born a theist. indoctrinated by society, there was a part of my life where i went to church on daily basis. that's all in the past.

I am an atheist. I didn't choose to be an atheist like i didn't choose to be a theist. but i was never indoctrinated to become an atheist unlike when i was a theist. my transformation was a process of learning, understanding and acceptance.

ants which we consider inferior in terms of brain power are capable of building a sound society or a colony that work as one. animals like the elephants knows how to show compassion and homage to those who departed. lioness in a pride can work together for the survival of their family. this are just a few example that we do not need to worship a god to know what should be morally right or wrong. being compassionate, logical and rational are things inherent to us as a specie. this are tools and means for the survival of our kind.

I am an atheist. i have nothing against theist. we have our own pace and process of learning, understanding and acceptance. although most of us will die without freeing ourselves from the chains and shackles of religion.

i am an atheist and i hate those theist who force feed me with their beliefs. i hate those who feel and think high and almighty because they have a god and i do not. i hate those who look at me as if i am an outcast or a disease because i do not belong to their religion or i do not have a religion.

i am an atheist and there is nothing you can do about it.

I'm a theist... as much as atheist hate theist force feeding kuno their beliefs in their throats, i'm annoyed by atheists who do the same.... i'm also annoyed how some of them try to correlate being atheist as being intellectual and being a theist as being dumb... true, many theists can also be annoying, so in the end, we just annoy each other....

Choosing a belief or disbelief is not that simple,
if the reason is only to satisfy self actualization through personal scrutiny,
    then that is too shallow.
In the deeper sense a person should consider that life is still a dimly lit room,
hazed by our inability to see things clearly and completely.
Choosing from any of the both defines you and your life and how you would manage it.

    This is after Christmas so...

I am and choose to be a believer. Why? Despite for critics and some claims that existence of God can't be proven I still be a believer because it molded me into a better person and it constantly reminding me to follow on what is morally right or wrong. There must be a higher being that has governed all things, including our existence and our purpose.

But this is just me.. each one of us has the right of his opinion and belief. Not necessarily on to religion but believing on and having a good relationship to God has made me a better person.

Limit this medium as a DISUCSSION PURPOSE only since we all know the moment we talk about POLITICAL and RELIGIOUS VIEWS , walang kamatayang lalis jud na .

Just basically do what the TS is asking . STATE your reason why you are an ATHEIST or why are a THEIST . What made you out of it , advantages of being one etc . I better not see arguments about who is better than who .
