I haven't read most of the comments in here, but as long as it increases tight security measures , making it hard for counterfeiting im all for it... actually my staff tells me naay mga tao mangilad nila , its good were beside a money changer to check using their machine kung tinood or di , but most of the times maklaro ... i'm just surprised these people have the courage to actually do it ... as soon as their told counterfiet ilang kwarta, they run out dayon. So if there is a good reason for doing this and it doesn't cost too much to produce it seems ok. Like the funky colors ...

I hope polymer jd sd xa..who wouldn't want a polymer banknote..

But it doesn't really mean that because poorer countries are able to do it then why can't we, because we also have other priorities other than upgrading the banknotes that needs higher budgets and more attention..

Accdg to my research, polymer banknotes are 2x more expensive than paper ones..the fact that it is made from plastic and lasts longer than paper, then it should be more expensive than paper..

gi tangtang na ang pic ni gloria sa edsa 2 on the 200 peso bill.. why am i not surprised ..

one thing na wala nila ma butang on the new bank notes... A BLANK 1inch by 1inch SPACE..
ngano mo suggest man ko na mag butang og blank 1inch square space.. BECAUSE it is a habit for pinoys to write something on the peso bill!!

if naa unta blank space for writing, then at least mas nindot unta ang dagway sa a2ng paper currency.. kung mapuno to na space for writing, then use white out so that we can write on it again..

at least sa uban na country naa sila'y respect for their money, or at least the artwork on the money.. pero sa pilipinas, dili man gyud ma pug ngan mag suwat sa kwarta, butangan og "100 pcs" , "telephone number" etc... mas maau pa butangan nalang gyud og lugar pra pwede masuwatan, unya at least dili ma hilabtan ang artwork.. ciaro ako palang gyud ang naka huna2x ani ?....

GMA is still very present on the 200 banknote.

There is also a 1x1 inch space on each banknote, see above #4...
