    actually yes, I smile while I took my photos during my photo walks down town. I don't know why, but instead, join us in our monthly photo walks down town into the urban areas. and you will know that you are safer in those areas smiling than not.

    from my experience, I think smiling is already built into us Pinoys. as you can see in my posts, these people wake up early, do hard labor jobs, yet still they have it in them to smile back at me whenever I take a shot. but that of course only happens, if you already are projecting it. I've been shooting urban and rural poor areas and most of the time, a friendly smile always gets a smile back. Of course there are some special cases...

    try going down town, full street photo gears with a saintly look in your face and lets compare what happens

    i admit and say that your photo entries were different from the others - very joyful. this is what most people would love to see. "yes, we may be poor but we have a million worth of smile everyday". i'm not really into photography thing but i can appreciate the stories behind its pixel.

    i wish i can go down town, but i'm half the world away.
