hi guys, i was surprised i was linked to this thread. anyway. can i join in? thanks bry, for the sidenote. anyway, let me help you guys a bit. if you will not do your homework, you will not learn a thing. the key is good training, hardwork and persistence. There are unbelievably good players here in Cebu, even in this forum, however, they fail to translate that "goodness" to teaching. As always, the new ones are left in the dark. I will make a new thread soon in putting up a good guitar lesson covering basic to advance much of our Cebuano style. Most of the topics and tutorials presented in the net are based on personal conviction, ritual practices and everyday nuances of young to average joe and the pro's are hiding it from us. In my experiences, as a teacher and guitar coach, you as a guitar player won't shine unless you know what you are doing, why you are playing and what purpose you are playing for. If you think you know where you are heading...pm me.
