When I was a student, I love holidays because of the absence of classes.
When I was a worker i love holidays because of the additional percentage of my daily wage.
When I became an entrepreneur i hate holidays because it makes transactions wait and cash flows freezes.

Dili nila e compare ang pinas sa laing nasud nga gisunod jud nila ang labor code.

    e.g.

    Philippine worker basic salary 8k-10k.
    Taiwan, OFW 25k basic salary
Bro you will understand the businessmen if you will be one someday.

dapat ang labor code flexible.. too much safety ra man gud.. to the point of being too expensive..
magsunod ka sa labor code, say goodbye to your business.. di ka mka compete with foreign businesses...

dire sa ato.. price is top priority.. mao jud ni mentality sa pinoy...

kanang imu pasabot nga below minimum wage, that is for contractual workers.. tungod sa ka lisud sa panahon, mudawat sila lower nga sweldo.. kung mo insist jd sila sa minimum, there are others willing to work below minimum..

actually ang problema sa filipinoes is ang consumer mentality.. just like the americans... tanawa unsa ka pobre americans now... unlike the industrious Chinese and Indians nga mudawat maski gamay og return..

"MORE for LESS"- this phrase is very important..

Hehehehe! Ang traditional businesses ra ang nagproblema ani nga style. In my current business ron, dili jud ni problema, kay ako mga business partners anytime they can make a sale even it is a holidays or working days. T_T! Everyday is "Halin Day". PM me if you wanna know about this business.

In the new industry, you don't need to hire employees, you only hire business partners who will work with you.

You can't solve this issue unless you have the power to remove Employer-Employee relationship.

Yes bro i can understand very well your model. It actually depends on the industry and product.
But nevertheless, y can't we try a hybrid business model.
Example: You own a cartridge manufacturing plant. Instead of paying wages, you let a person create his own cartridge and let him sell that. The sales would pay him.

There are those who can't help but demand more this, more that, more of anything. The holiday economics policy really spoiled a lot of people with long weekends and excessive holidays.

Then there are those with socialist leanings and bleeding hearts who think that employees will never become rich and that only the capitalists will benefit from the nation's capitalism model. They say that excess holidays "balances" the situation.

And then there are those who complained that Cebu's "too many minimum wage workers" and many other workers who are suffering too much from "low pay and too much work". One of them even suggested that in addition to holiday economics, Cebu's minimum wage should be raised from P285 per day to P500 per day.

he was the strategic of all when it comes to macroeconomics..
in terms of business, marcos was a lot friendlier to locals than to foreigners.. he gave priority to filipino industries.. it was also during his time where labor was cheap..

the good side of low wages that time was foreign investors wanted to invest here and at the same time, local businesses can compete with them.. he wasnt a big fan of free trade..

free trade may sound good but it is actually killing us.. with high overhead costs, the prices of locally made products cannot compete with cheap products from china.. we can benifit thru free trade if wages were low... low wages would also lower market prices of our goods.. so buying power wont much be affected..

this all changed when CORY came to power along with her socialistic agenda's which are somewhat quite communistic..

holiday economics is good for workers but its killing the businesses that pays them wages.. in the end, if the business goes out, they will lose income. in the end.. they are the ones to suffer...
