Go for motherboards with solid capacitor .
Choose a good PSU, it will not only protect your motherboard but also your videocard and HDDs.

common causes of component failure is the PSU.

I still prefer Asus, EVGA, Gigabyte, MSI, Intel and Supermicro motherboards.

Just check with forums and reviews for the motherboard model of your choice.
