yes, it's true kung ang NAVPS kay lower sa pag palit nimo or worst zero and/or negative, wala na dyud value in effect. . . but if you keep hold of it, it will bounce back . . . .
- as regards to bayaan ka sa imo broker, depende ra guro, anyhow, you can always deal direct sa MF kung mo withdraw na ka in the future (assuming, dili na mahagilap imo broker), you can always monitor the performance of your fund at ICAP website anyway.....
pwd paki-elaborate lng regarding sa NAVPS na mo lower to zero or negative. i just want to see the figures. how does it work? pls start with 5k, how many shares does that amount have? and if the NAVPS will drop to zero or negative, the 5k will literally vanish? what if negative territory na? what will happen to your account? ma-close na cya? or continue gihapon? naglibog pa kaau ko dinhi dapita. please bear with me. thank you.
somebody will give you detailed explanation here regarding your query, pero sa ako na case, I invested way back in Jan 2008, then it was hit during recession period, i think it went down as far as 6K from an initial investment of 10K, when that happened, I just psyche myself that it was surplus money (para dili kaayo sakit paminawon) hehehe, but it did bounce back, so far, mao ni ang details.
SUNLIFE (Bond Fund)
Jan 2008 - 2.04 price per share
10 Dec 2010 - 2.62 na sya
so, ning appreciate na sya
PAMI (Equity Fund) - Growth Fund
Jan 2008 - P317.41 per share
09 Dec 2010 - P380.85
so, as a summary, ning saka gihapon.
about your first question, this can happen samot na bag-o pa kaayo ka ni invest. But if dugay na imo invest like 5 to 10 years, di na kaayo na possible. Kay nag cge na ug tubo and even if negative ang performance due to market crash, di naka mo balik sa original price nimo.
about your second question, sa IMG, we always educate the client on how to handle MF. Aron maka monitor ka on your own, and dili mahadlok ug market crash. But naa jud mi when you want to top up or withdraw or you have further questions.
sakto jud ka baigetting in during the market crash is one of the best move we can make.
Sayang di pako IMG ato hehe. double or triple na unta ako investments ron.
