Anyway, choosing a widely used OS is handy when you are still starting a career. Not a lot of companies use Mac in the Philippines. You'll be slow in your first day, and will likely get fired in 3 days if you don't know much about the OS and its version of applications.

I think tungod kay nauna ug introduce ang Windows so mas anad ang mga tawo mogamit mao they find it hard using other O.S. like linux. Plus since daghan nagwindows if magpalahi ka like linux naa possibility na naa uban applications dili mo-work sa imo O.S. like the MS Applications.

Yes microsoft ang unang software company..
and no dili sila ang naka una in terms of GUI.. but XEROX were the first people who invent GUI which ehem mac stoles from hehehe.. Those where the days.. because of windows popularity medyo nakalimtan nato ug basa or tanaw who started first..

I recommend you guys to watch Pirates of the siliconvalley.. it's a nice story actually..

but I think I'll give a comment regarding, not all companies uses Mac in the RP..
I think most of the companies especially into design and graphics, they prefer Mac.. correct me if i'm wrong but most of the companies I visit they uses mac as tool for graphics.. pero mas dominant ang windows in regards to internet cafe, banks ( but not all kay ang uban kay nag gamit na sila ug Open source), schools..
