    Default HOAX text messages

Most of us know and received hoax text messages like below:

You need to claim and Activate today because the management will finalize all the records of our clients/recipients who dont claim their rewards. The authorities...our politicians, the police and NBI must do something to catch those people who victimize innocent citizens who took the bait.

I wish somebody here in the forum have contacts with NBI to trace the culprits of the hoax SMS.

If the sender is just a set of cel numbers then most probably it's a scam.

Well, if you're brave enough, inform the police and go to their office. If something wrong comes up, then you have the authorities with you. You have the evidence to show to the police, the text message, about the suspicious modus. If everything ends up well, then that's great. Maybe just give the police some snacks or anything to cover for their time.

I myself have received a few messages of that nature but I just shrug it off.
