I have an ipad it is cheaper than the Samsung Galaxy tab and has better build quality. Also a touchscreen tablet is not for every one. A netbook might be a cheaper option. I like the ipad for reading comics, news, blogs and books and also for surfing the web. However I still hope Flash would come in so I can watch streaming anime.
iPad is magical... go get one!
I was able to use a friend's iPad for a few days, and from my experience, it was very nice.
However, after reading about Samsung's Galaxy Tab, it would be interesting to see which can do more.
From the specs Samsung has given, the only edge the iPad has over the Galaxy is the screen size. I dont know yet about responsiveness and battery life, so those are still up in the air.
The Galaxy Tab has an edge over the iPad since it has both a Main Camera and a Secondary Camera, it has expandable memory (16/32 internal, up to 32 external, so basically, similar ra, but you have the option of having multiple SD Cards). And, the Galaxy Tab is also a PHONE.....

Seems like a nice option... dont know about the price yet though.....
Has Samsung confirmed that there will be a WiFi only version for the Galaxy Tab? Obviously the 3G one they have announced will have subsidized pricing with a contract attached to it, but I reckon a cheaper WiFi version (with no strings attached) will be the key thing. And if they can price it cheaper than the $499 16GB WiFi only iPad, then that thing could sell like hotcakes.
wont butter and sugar damage the tablet?
i think 3g is just an additional application? and besides not all countries are set to handle 3G communications, yet.
i think people will find ipad useful if they're existing ipod/iphone users who want to take their experience to a better level like the viewing and surfing experience. not to mention if you're fond of ebooks lingaw jud ang ipad.
you'll definitely find it useless if you don't have the need for it. just like a laptop, you'll never buy it unless you need it for business/work or school.
apple products are overrated? i don't think so. I've been a hardcore M$ windows developer for more than 10 years and since i switched to Mac, never looked back. Since then I've been using Apple products. They're really fun to use and reliable - not because i'm a fan, but because i found the value.
what happened to my windows programming, well that's another story. =)
