Administering linux machine is difficult specially for beginners. I advise to do basics first before the administration thing. Read, read and read. Practice, practice and practice. Understand, understand and understand. Don't underestimate the power of your fingers. The more books/ebooks your read, the more pages you flip, and the more commands you execute then welcome to the linux world. These are the foundation needed if you decide to learn and later administering linux.
