First of all, infractions are merely warnings.
Thus, it is illogical to ask why you were not given a warning before an infraction.
How can you expect a warning to be given before an infraction if the infraction itself is the warning?

This infraction thing is very, very simple.
Violate the rules, get an infraction point.
No matter how many pages your argument may reach, the bottom line is that you violate the rules.
Most, if not all arguments pertaining to infractions exist because the other party did not fully understand the rules or may have not even read them.

The best thing to do is to review the post in question and then review the rules.
If you find that you are not violating any rules then send a message to the moderator and politely explain your side.

Being rewarded with your first infraction point is not a reason to panic.
It's not until you get six points that you will be muted.
Muted users cannot post.

Each point usually lasts up to one month unless otherwise specified by the moderator.
If for some reason you managed to accumulate 8 points, you are banned for 3 days.
Get one more point and you're not allowed to login for a week.
Ten infraction points will result in a 2-week ban.
Add one more and you're banned for a month.
A dozen points equals to a three-month ban.
Still one more and the penalty increases to a six month period.
Fifteen points and you need to get a new account.

By the way, don't try to create a new account just to rant about your previous penalty.

Consider an infraction as a polite way of giving you a warning for violating a certain rule.
It's a gentle pat in the back, a reminder that you have done something inappropriate.
Your points are not visible to the public. Only you and the moderating team can see it.
If it was created to belittle or humiliate you, it would have been made visible to everybody.
A publicly posted warning is worse than an infraction.

As a closing remark, an infraction is not really a big deal especially if you acknowledge your mistake and learn from it.
It's when you start whining in public that matters start to get worse.

Lets first answer what an infraction is? ... It is a simple warning not to do it again (so that is the warning), other users don't even see the infraction given, so it isn't like the end of the world if you get one. Essentially users are supposed to read rules prior to even posting, in fact that is what the I AGREE button prior to even finalizing membership is for. An infraction is given on a violation because we would like to remind users not to do it again. Most of the time it works

@ KE-25, I don't really knew if I did commit the infraction since I have not given the screenshot for it. Or it could be 2 post plus 2 reply to queries. I think it's best to somehow send the evidence to the violators to point out the case.

Cause although I'm new here, few posters violate the rules but were not given infractions. Just wondering if it's for a selected few only.

We look at the post and if bumped by user to make it more than 3 then violation na, but say u bumped 2 for the day and clients asks a question on your post making it 4 posts then dili na violation kay di man ikaw nag post, mailhan sad kay puro man imong user id when doing a screen print.

Note: if found user using clone account automatic ban.

in my case..if it's still under the 12hr rule i would rather pm a "client", to answer the queries.
if he/she can no longer accept pm kay puno na..then i have to wait for the 12hr to expire.

i don't think anyone of us here are in BSTC are in life & death situation nga dapat gyud mo reply dayon. now if the client is truly interested enough to the items & you had posted your contact #..i don't think he/she will ask/post something on your thread & needing your quick reply..but rather he/she will text or call you perhaps.

because for me..answering the post/queries within the 12hr rule, is just simply the same as bumping the thread..then violating the rules. and there are others that do not even ask question..e.g "up ko ani, nice item"..then the TS reply, "thanks bro"..how do you explain that?

that's why there are lots of threads here nga mura na gyud og "chat box"..daghan kaayo og tabe nga OT ra raba kadaghanan. without considering other thread nga malubong og samot while there doing it...unless otherwise that's the intention.
