@tasho: so u really hate kobe, but u cant deny kobe is the best in this generation, the most clutch, fearless and the only player closest to MJ

@menderouv: hahahah, kobe is declining just because of his stats goes down? lol. kobe is having many injuries broken finger, knee, back.etc still manages to score and play like nothing really bothers him and thats the real warrior. kobe is still in his prime, his batchmates ang declining bro not kobe.

-iverson? playing in the other legue.
    -t-mac? bench warmer of detroit
    -carter? role player
    -shaq? the journey man
and many to mention. while kobe is still doing his thing and chasing his 6th ring

Here’s my other take between these two athletes.

If Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant were both pop stars, then….

Michael Jordan = Michael Jackson (focus on the artist, not the crazy personal antics of the man ok)

Michael Jackson was inventive and one of a kind. Not only was he music’s biggest thing back in the days, he was also a cultural phenomenon. When you think of Michael Jackson, you think of Moonwalking, crotch grabbing, a man who wore a white glove and white socks, and that distinctive voice.

Now in a similar fashion, when you think of Michael Jordan, you think of the tongue, you think of anti-gravity, the number 23, Chicago Bulls, the free-throw dunk (which became the Jumpman logo), and of course those expensive Air Jordan sneakers.

If there was one Michael Jackson song title that defines Michael Jordan, then that would be ‘Smooth Criminal’.

Kobe Bryant on the other hand is Usher.

Usher is not the next Michael Jackson. He is just Usher. He may not have that same pop culture impact as Michael Jackson, but he is one if not the biggest star at the moment in the music scene.

The same can be said about Kobe. He is not the next Jordan. He’s just Kobe Bryant. He also won’t have that impact that Jordan did outside of the game. Let’s face it, we’ve passed that stage now. It’s a different era.

Usher performs really well as an artist. Very slick actually. You can even argue that he’s got more variety of dance moves up his sleeve than Michael Jackson ever did.

Same thing with Kobe. A great basketball player and though he mimics Jordan on a few basketball moves, you can’t argue that he’s added a few new things in his arsenal also. While Jordan defied gravity, hangs in the air and moved the ball from one hand to the other when he drove to the rim, Kobe tends to elevate higher and stretches his hand a lil bit more to prevent opponents from blocking his lay-up. And while Jordan made a living out of those fadeaway jumpshots just outside of the paint, Kobe on other hand does it from a much further distance. And it won’t be long til he starts doing fadeaways from half court (ok maybe I’m exaggerating a bit but you get the picture).

In the end, if there was one Usher song title that defines Kobe Bryant, that would be ‘Oh My Gosh’.

... don't forget the shorts. When he came into the League everyone had short shorts. He needed his to be longer coz he wore his UNC shorts underneath his Bulls shorts.

    Says it was for luck.

@Obemon: Your Comparing kobe to usher? thats not fair. Yea Usher is a great singer/artist but never really had the impact in the music industry that kobe had in basketball. Usher will not be good as Micheal Jackson but kobe is the closest player to MJ. Usher will never be better than Micheal Jackson but kobe CAN. but for now, MJ is still better. for now..

To all MJ Fans: C'mon look at it, kobe can be better than MJ if we wont look into the MVP's,Rings.etc.. If we'll base it of the way they play kobe is more complete player than MJ. kobe is a better shooter and that's my opinion

lets just wait and see..time will tell

Kobe is easily the best player right now, but there's a reason people started calling him " the next Jordan"- MJ is the yardstick all players must be measured against.

Until such time Kobe doesn't achieve the 6th championship ring he still can't achieve what MJ has and even he gets the 6th ring he must again get the 7th ring just to surpass Jordan. Be back in this post by that time so that i could congratulate you that Kobe is the best player.

pero sa mga achievements bro layo ra kaau si kobe ni MJ. then sa first 3 championship rings ni kobe, it's not really him ang nagdala ug champion ato. its shaq. good luck kobe.

unlike ni MJ for his 6 championship rings xa jud ang nagdala ug bida.

    I disgree...........

MJ is more complete than Kobe

MJ is the better defender.. (winning defensive player of the year) Jordan was the first player in NBA history to record 200 steals and 100 blocks in a season.

MJ is the better Post Up player.

    MJ is better in steals
    MJ is the better rebounder
MJ is the better passer .. again stats don't lie
    MJ is stronger
    MJ's game is more polished.
MJ has a better slashing game.
MJ is the better dunker.........hahaha wala naman unta ni labot..... but only Vince Carter is the better dunker than MJ
MJ is the better scorer..... Stats dont lie .. MJ leads all time in PPG 30.01 all time record..

the only thing that kobe beats MJ.......is that

Kobe is the better 3 pointer.... and that doesnt mean that kobe is better....
