back in college, i played in a lot of bands and our genre are: R&B in one band, Classic and Modern Rock including Alternative Rock in another band, Hard Core, and Punk Rock sa uban..

So far wala pa ko naka try playing with a bizrock band (d one with bisaya lyrics).. sa ako opinion, mostly sa mga nadunggan nako, (no offense sa mga bisaya-rockers nganhi) kay wala man tumong ang lyrics. puros bugal bugal and binastos kasagaran. dili dayun ko maminaw tiwas kay samukan ko. i find their songs somewhat a waste of time.. lahi man gud kaayu ila music compared to other rock bands like urbandub, fastpitch, sheila and the insects, franco and etc.. or maybe, ako pick is kana lang siguro cebuano bands nga english ang lyrics or tagalog coz their lyrics naay meaning or sense..

I'm not really a big fan of Bisrock. No, wait. I'm not a fan AT ALL.

Pero saying that the lyrics to most Bisrock songs has no meaning except for sexual innuendos, aren't you also describing most US pop music? Pero maminaw man lagi gihapon ang mga tao? Double standards kaayo. Why can't you just come out and say that you find Bisrock baduy?

Bisrock sucks so much that I stopped listening to the radio. Kalagot gyud. I didn't grow up here pero murag giattake ang whole ROCK genre. Basta Bisaya ang lyrics, mao na ang bisrock? If that's the case, maygani it's dead. Yes, I discriminate bisrock and I have a deep hatred for bisrock.

Kasagaran naay nindot pero that's as RARE as a double rainbow.

x. Yabag ang guitara. Kung dili, banga lang ang guitarista (murag taga seminaryo). Basic major and minor chords!? Taka taka lang kung naay solo? Dili man na guitarista, ukulele man iyaha. Kuwangan nalang hula skirt ug buwak.
x. Boring kaayo ang drums. Unconventional and bisag kinsa nalang na maka hapak sa snare ug kick drum maro ra to, drummer ra na. Apil apil lang ang toms ug cymbals kung ilaha i"charchar"pero mao gihapon, garbage at the tip of drum sticks.
x. Ang bass kay dili kamao mustyle-lize. Dili man gyud permi na ang bass magroot notes permi. Boringa ana woi! Walay life ang bass. Ang bass man makadala sa melody ug makaunite sa drums ug sa uban instruments pero mao gihapon, tae lang diay.
x. Vocalist!? Banga.a mukanta woi! Murag iring na girape sa iro. Ingon ana ang tono. Samot na tae ang lyrics. It sounds like naa siya sa public CR na walay tissue paper.
x. Kasabot ko if the lyrics don't make any sense. Good example? Nirvana - Smells like teen spirit. Ang ako lang, if wala nay lyrics, nano ibastos bastos pa? Ambi nila na bisag unsa nalang lyrics basta naay vocals ok ra? Ok ra na ang ilahang mga kanta tungod lang sa bayot na ambi nila babae?

This 'genre'...this pitiful attempt at making music...should stay where it belongs, in their heads and as a memory ONLY. Yes I know there are good bisrock bands out there but hell, I don't see them becoming big. Why? There's no future in a genre that was only made as a FAD and nothing more. I salute those bands who use bisaya lyrics but please, for the sake of every musician from the Visayas, DO IT RIGHT!
